Home Performance with ENERGY STAR, brought to you by the the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and New Jersey's Clean Energy Program®, is a whole new approach to home improvements:

• Provides greater piece of mind and confidence -- only contractors certified and accredited by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) can be a part of Home Performance with ENERGY STAR.

Single-family and low-rise multifamily homes are eligible to participate.

The nationally acclaimed home improvement program uses the best of home testing, techniques and upgrades to increase your home's energy performance, comfort, health and safety. Using a "whole-house" approach, specially trained and certified technicians assess your home top to bottom, looking at the following components:

• Heating/cooling equipment
• Insulation levels
• Air sealing opportunities

Following your assessment, you'll receive a detailed plan with recommended measures and a list of qualified contractors available to do the work. Low-interest financing or cash incentives are available* to help get the work done and help you save even more. All the work is done for you by accredited contractors who "test in and test out" to make sure your home is operating efficiently, safely, and comfortably

• Streamlined Home Performance assessments for $125 (valued at $300)
• Up to $1,000 worth of free air sealing in homes where it is needed and no air quality issues prohibit it
• Low-interest financing and additional cash back incentives available
• Additional assistance may be available if homeowners meet certain income eligibility requirements
